A bit of Peru right here in Ixelles!

"El Dia de la Madre" or "Mother's day" is organized by the Belgian-Peruvian organisation 'Comité Internacional Peruano' and took place on Sunday May 11.
Foremost a tribute to all mothers, this celebration also included a flashmob around the square Holy Cross (Flagey). Participants were treated to a showcase of national Peruvian dancing (Marinera Norteña) in traditional clothes, brought especially by the Libertad Club in Paris.
In Elzenhof they had quite some festivities too: gastronomic delights from Latin America, dance performances by the Antwerp group Kapuli, musical shows, a tombola, animations for the kids, etc. You had to be there to enjoy it!
